About Us

Founded in 2007, Franklin Bell Realty is a one-of-a-kind in the real estate industry.  Franklin Bell and our associates excel in customer service, knowledge of real estate and a firm understanding of the changing dynamics of the real estate industry.  Our commitment to home sellers has contributed to our success.

The founder of Franklin Bell Realty, started out as a real estate investor in Lakeland, FL.  Always looking to save money on his real estate investments he tried selling properties on his own and discovered the difficulties that selling 'For Sale By Owner' can present.  People that were interested in the properties weren't qualified, people would make appointments only to cancel at the last minute or not show up at all.  Eventually he decided to use a realtor because the potential savings of going it alone just were not worth all the headaches. 

After using a "Full Service" realtor for a few home sales, he discovered that most of the buyers were not from the agent he hired but from other agents.  It turns out that the houses were selling as a result of other realtors seeing the 'Listing' on the MLS and showing it to their clients.  He then made the switch over to Flat Fee Listing Agents, companies that charged a flat fee to list in the MLS.  This offered savings, but there were still many costs which came out of pocket, and if the property didn't sell he lost his flat fee. 

Shortly there after he teamed up with Alicia Ramos, a Lakeland Realtor, to open Franklin Bell Realty with a novel concept - List homes for sale on the MLS absolutely Free!  In doing this, clients could hire Franklin Bell Realty for services that they could not do on their own such as prepare a real estate contract, or provide selling support items such as signs, pictures, and flyers.  Hence, Franklin Bell Realty only makes money when they provide actual services to the customer! 

We believe only the Realtor that finds the buyer should be entitled to payment of a commission.  Listing agents should not be paid thousands of dollars in commission just for listing homes in the MLS.  We are hopeful that this service can benefit you as a risk free way to gain additional marketing for your home!
